The ASORN national office, Headquarters, handles all day-to-day activities of the Society as outlined in ASORN’s scope of services with San Francisco Association Management Services (SF AMS), a subsidiary of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Some of staff’s responsibilities include:
- responding to inquiries
- processing membership applications and dues
- compiling and distributing mailings to the membership
- producing membership lists, mailing labels and forms
- on-site meeting management
- processing meeting registrations
- supporting corporate affiliate and educational programs
- grading post-tests for independent learning activities.
- submitting applications for continuing education credits through other organizations.
- supporting the Nominating Committee in preparing the voting materials.
- coordinating annual awards
- producing printed materials including Insight, programs, brochures and other materials
- creating, ordering and selling fund raising items throughout the year.
- generating monthly financial account statements
- assisting with the annual audit and filing annual IRS forms
