Referrals

Children identified with a potential vision problem will be provided with a list of
local eye care professionals for evaluation and possible treatment. Families will
be encouraged to seek further evaluation and treatment by local practitioners.

Will insurance or Medicaid cover follow-up exams if my child is referred?

Individual health insurance or Medicaid should cover most exams, however,
plans vary and you may need to contact your child's primary care provider.
