Mission statement The mission of the Initiative is to provide world class clinical
services for the diagnosis and treatment of optic nerve tumors.
Clinical Care The optic nerve center offers unique, multidisciplinary and
interdisciplinary evaluation and treatment plan for patients with
optic nerve tumors drawn from a national and international patient
base.
Research
The optic nerve center develops and maintains a tumor registry to
follow patients prospectively. The center offers comprehensive analytical,
design, data quality statistical services to enable studies to be
performed including epidemiology, natural history and clinical trials.
The center offers interdisciplinary research training opportunities
to medical students, residents, and fellows.
Education and Training The Center provides education for patients and practitioners
through lectures, presentations, symposia, and publications on optic
nerve tumors.
