I am pleased that you are interested in presenting a free paper at the Annual Meeting of the American Society of Ophthalmic Registered Nurses (ASORN). Attached you will find the criteria for submitting a free paper abstract this year, an application form, a biographical data form, and a letter of transmittal form.
Free paper abstracts will be masked and sent to four reviewers. Using an evaluation tool, the reviewers will critique each abstract on the items listed. Points will be totaled, and the papers with the highest scores will be selected for presentation at the Annual Meeting. The number of free papers varies according to the annual meeting schedule each year. You will be notified of the judges’ decision.
The selected free papers will then be presented at the Annual Meeting (6-8 minutes per paper) and submitted in final manuscript form. Free paper manuscripts that meet publication criteria will then be published in Insight.
