Ona Network Inc. (http://onanetwork.org) has opportunities available for ophthalmic nurses to participate in its eye camps in Africa this September and November this year. The two-week eye camps are held in Dodoma - Tanzania. For years Ona Network volunteers from around the globe have contributed heavily to eye care service delivery in isolated communities in Africa. Ona Network volunteers have given their time and skills to restore sight to thousands of people in Africa. The duties are organized in such a way to provide volunteers with time to explore the beauty of the country and to interact with the locals. Ona Network QLD Inc. is a not for profit charity based in Tanzania with its international office in Brisbane Australia. Ona Network is dedicated to promoting and delivery of visual and eye health to poor and isolated communities in Africa. Ona Network projects are carried in collaboration with the Tanzania Ministry of Health and supported by Optometry Association Australia (Qld/NT division), Alcon and Lions Club.
