Advanced Educational or Training Scholarship
Sponsored by Pelion Surgical
The American Society of Ophthalmic Registered Nurses (ASORN) offers two $750 scholarships each year. Individuals wishing to apply for the scholarships must submit a completed application form. Scholarship recipients are to use the funds for furthering their ophthalmic career goals in a formal educational or technical program, preferably a degree program. ASORN does not require scholarship recipients to apply the funds to courses or work toward a degree in nursing, or toward a degree leading to technician status or certification. However, the Awards Committee will give additional consideration to applicants in a nursing degree program or a technical degree or certification program. Applicants must be furthering their formal education or training in a nursing- or health-related field and must show how this will enhance ophthalmic patient care.
