RESEARCH STATEMENT: Dr. Anderson's research centers on mechanisms of complex eye disease, especially the glaucomas. Using genetic approaches in mice, this research offers a novel approach for studying genetic pathways important to the eye. Ultimately, this knowledge will be carried back into human studies and aims to help identify potential new avenues for improved treatments of human eye disease.
