RESOLUTION
WHEREAS,
Lee Allen began his relationship with ophthalmology as an ophthalmic
medical illustrator, photographer and ocularist, and
WHEREAS,
this skill was based on his unique ability to visualize vision
for the uninitiated, and
WHEREAS,
his teaching ability has extended to his 90th year with the
publication of his treatise, The Hole in My Vision
NOW
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,
that the Board of Trustees and members of the American Academy
of Ophthalmology extends to Lee Allen their warmest salutations
on the occasion of his 90th birthday and in recognition of his
outstanding contributions to ophthalmologists worldwide.
