New Residents

Michael V. Boland, MD, PhD., has a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Colorado in Boulder. His PhD is in Bioengineering from Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh. He earned his MD at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He did his transitional year at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Andrew P. Doan, MD, PhD, got his Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology at Reed College, Portland, Oregon. His MD and PhD are both from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He was at the University of Iowa for his transitional year.

Lynn E. Fraterrigo, MD, has a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from College of the Holy Cross, Worcester, Massachusetts and an MD from SUNY Upstate Medical University. Her transitional year was at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

James G. Howard, MD, has a Bachelor of Arts in Latin American Studies from Brigham Young University. His MD degree is from the University of Utah School of Medicine. He did his transitional year at the University of Utah.

Sudeep Pramanik, MD, earned a Bachelor of Science in Ecology and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Tulane University. He has an MBA from Rice University and an MD from Baylor College of Medicine. He spent his transitional year at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, Washington.
