Keith D. Carter, MD |

Dr. Carter is one of two faculty on the Oculoplastics and Orbital Surgery Service. Dr. Carter has a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from Purdue University. He received his MD degree from Indiana University and received his ophthalmology training from the W K Kellogg Eye Center at the University of Michigan. He was a fellow in Oculoplastics and Orbital Surgery at the University of Iowa Department of Ophthalmology. He joined the faculty in 1988 as an Assistant Professor, was promoted to Associate Professor in 1993, and to Professor effective July 2001. |
Thomas A. Oetting, MD |

Dr. Oetting was promoted to Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology effective July 2001. He is a primary eye care practitioner and has been Chief of the Ophthalmology Clinic at the IowaCity Veterans Administration Medical Center since 1998. Dr. Oetting received his MD from Duke University. He was a resident in ophthalmology at the University of Iowa and a Clinical Instructor at Harry S Truman Veterans Administration Medical Center in Columbia, Missouri before joining the University of Iowa faculty as a Clinical Assistant Professor in 1997. |
Mark E. Wilkinson, OD |

Effective July 2001, Dr. Wilkinson is Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology. Dr. Wilkinson was a Low Vision Clinician for the University of Iowa from 1984 to 1986. He was in private practice until 1997 when he became Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Director of the Low Vision Rehabilitation Service at the University of Iowa. He attended Iowa State University, majoring in Zoology, and received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry. He is a therapeutically certified optometrist. |
