Memorial Celebration of
Lee Allen's Life and Legacy

(September 16, 1910 - May 5, 2006)

Lee AllenLee Allen was a father, grandfather, renowned artist, creative inventor, medical illustrator and photographer, ocularist, loyal colleague and dedicated friend of many over his 95 years.  Lee's family is deeply saddened by his loss, and we know he had touched many of you both personally and professionally.  We invite you to come and reminisce with us as we celebrate the many facets that made up his life and work. 

Lee's family invites you to join us in honoring his memory on his birthday:

Time: 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Place: University of Iowa Museum of Art, 150 N. Riverside Dr., Iowa City, Iowa

For those who cannot attend and would like to honor Lee's contributions, a scholarship is being established to support a student of regionalist art at the University of Iowa, where Lee studied with Grant Wood.  Contributions may be sent to the Lee Allen Memorial Art Scholarship.  Checks should be made out to the "University of Iowa Foundation", with a note to that it is to go to this scholarship in the School of Art and Art History.
