Drivers LicenseWhen you renew your drivers license, tell them you want your license to reflect your wishes about donation. This will help guide your family or healthcare providers toward the next step regarding donation at the time of your death. The “yes” on your driver’s license is a legal consent for organ donation (transplant only). In the state of iowa, marking your license does not give consent for tissue and eye donation, nor does it give consent for research. To make sure all of your donation wishes will be carried out, you must register with the Iowa Donor Registry. Donor CardIf you choose to become a donor, this uniform card should be carried with you at all times.
