Diagnosis: Herbert's pits - virtually pathognomonic of trachoma

Herbert's pits result when the follicle formation at the limbus regress to sharply defined depressions that are located at the base of the pannus. In this Bihari Indian eye the pits are pigmented.The diagnosis is trachoma.
