Morgagnian cataract

A morgagnian cataract is one that has crossed the state of maturity and has become "hypermature". The cortex in this cases is liquefied and can no longer hold the nucleus (which is usually brown) in a central position The nucleus therefore sinks down in the liquefied milky cortex, as can be seen here.
