62-year-old male with anterior scleritis which presented after discontinuation of a course of anti-inflammatory medications for nephrolithiasis. Patient had marked tenderness over the area, as well as 1+ cell and trace flare in the anterior chamber. Note the violaceous hue in the area of the injected vessels. Photograph taken after instillation of phenylephrine 2.5% eye drop.
