Diagnosis: evisceration with leucite ball implant - OD

Image Comments:
Enucleation versus evisceration: This was a unique case in which the OD was eviscerated with retention of the cornea and a leucite ball was implanted. The cosmetic effect was excellent. However, the procedure was abandoned because of a remote potentiality for sympathetic ophthalmia following evisceration.
