Diagnosis: keratomalacia - an extreme stage with cornea and ciliary body staphylomata of an extreme degree

Image Comments:
This is the ultimate in unruptured staphylomata of the cornea and ciliary body. This was initiated by keratomalacia due to vitamin A deficiency. Photo 2 is the initial active stage of the process in another much younger patient - an infant.
