The patient was a Caucasian male who was in his late 50s. Biopsy had revealed a melanoma of the conjunctiva of the rt upper lid. The patient was referred to Dr. Byron Smith - a world-renowned ophthalmic plastic surgeon in New York City. Initially, local excisions were carried out. This photograph shows a recurrent lesion following a local excision. Subsequent photographs will show results of an extensive resection and repair of the lid.
