Diagnosis: rust deposit in cornea

Image Comments:
This rust deposit is being well-tolerated - there is minimal limbal flush; there is no evident foreign body reaction around the rust. Removal with a fine motorized dental burr resulted in a clean removal. A resultant nebular scar in the 7 o'clock position overlying the iris and not in the axis of vision will have no significant effect on the patient's vision.( There are two spots in the pupil area: one superiorly from the flash-bulb reflex and the other inferiorly from a speck on the 1960 Kodachrome slide. )
