tack puncture with hypopyon

Image Comments:

In the inferior temporal quadrant at 5 o'clock and 1-2 mms from the limbus is dark linear mark that resembles a couch mark. It actually resulted from the eye's having been struck by a tack. Careful observation - perhaps with some imagination - will reveal a faint yellowish line at the limbus from 5o'clock to 7 o'clock. Gonioscopy left no doubt that a hypopyon was present in the lower angle.Yje eye recovered completely.
