Diagnosis: uveitis: the sequelae of chronic uveitis

Image Comments:
The photo shows scars of old keratitis, seclusio pupillae due to chronic anterior uveitis, and a dense white cataracta complicata secondary to the uveitic process. Biomicroscopy reveals iris bombe' due to the seclusio pupillae and iris atrophy with neovascularization. This eye which has no light perception is beyond resurrection. The advice for the patient should be enucleation. Whether he will follow that advice is questionable - unless the eye becomes intolerably painful as it progressively deteriorates.
