Dr. Matt RauenMatthew Rauen, M.D.

Dr. Matt Rauen graduated from Loras College with a B.S. in Biology Research and received his medical degree from The University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. He began his Ophthalmology Residency in July of 2006. Dr. Rauen was a Doris Duke Clinical Research Fellow at The University of Iowa and worked on projects regarding identification of mutations in human eye diseases. His work identified a mutation in the gene GCAP1 in a family with cone-rod dystrophy.
