Spivey Selected as Distinguished Alumnus |

Dr. Bruce Spivey will be honored as a recipient of the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine Distinguished Alumnus Award for Service on June 6, 2003. Dr. Bruce Spivey received his M.D. from the University of Iowa in 1959. He did his ophthalmology residency here from 1960 to 1964, and was on the faculty at the University of Iowa from 1966 to 1971. Dr. Spivey currently lives in San Francisco. |
Dr. Michael J. Howcroft has recently returned to Iowa. He had been in practice in Toronto, Canada. He is now with Eye Surgeons Associates, PC. Phone (309)732-5740. Dr. Howcroft was an Ophthalmic Echography fellow in 1982.
Diane, Kendall, and Nils Boone announce the birth of Annika Linnae Boone, born September 29, 2002. Dr. Diane Boone finished her ophthalmology residency in 1996, was a 1996-1997 Comprehensive Ophthalmology fellow, and a faculty member (1998-2000). She is currently in practice in Rockford, Illinois.

Robert C. Watzke, MD, retired faculty member (1958-1984), celebrated his 80th Birthday on December 17, 2002. He is retired, but continues to continues to teach residents and fellows at the Casey Eye Institute in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Watzke's email address is watzke@spiritone.com.
