Blepharitis is inflammation of the eyelid margins, often associated with staphylococcal colonization or seborrheic dermatitis. Findings include scaling and crusting around eyelashes on the anterior lid margin, as seen in this photograph, with resulting ocular surface irritation and inflammation.
