Lens material can cause intraocular inflammation when not isolated by the lens capsule. This patient was referred with chronic, refractory uveitis of unknown etiology, but on exam he was found to have a large piece of displaced lens material in the anterior chamber. In the photographs, a large piece of cataractous lens nuclear material is present inferiorly. The anterior chamber uveitis is not easily visible, but the corneal edema and Descemet's folds can be visualized using the slit beam.
