Welcome to the Abstract Submission Form for the 18th International Visual Field and Imaging Symposium, Nara, Japan, May 21st -24th  2008.

Abstracts are invited in research areas related to visual fields and optic nerve head imaging.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Submission:

·       One of the authors must be a member of the Imaging and Perimetry Society. Application details are available at: www.perimetry.org.

·       Abstracts should be submitted as an E-mail attachment (Microsoft Word Document) to the IPS Secretary at: david.henson@manchester.ac.uk by  20th December 2007.

·       Abstracts need to follow the formatting details given below.

·       All presenters of accepted abstracts will be required to register for the conference.

·       Faxed or posted submissions will not be accepted.

Acknowledgement and Notification:

·       Abstract submissions will be acknowledged. Acknowledgment of receipt does not imply acceptance.

·       Oral and poster presentations will be selected from the submitted abstracts.

·       All submissions will be reviewed by the programme committee and applicants will be notified of acceptance on  the 1st Feb 2008

·       All accepted abstracts will be placed on the conference web site:  http://www.congre.co.jp/ips2008/index.html

Formatting details:

Size:

Maximum 350 words - word count should include: Title, Authors, Institution/City/Country, and the body of the abstract.

Font:

All text should be 12 pt, Times New Roman and single spaced.

Title:

Uppercase, bold and centred.

Authors:

Upper and lower case, centred. Authors initials (no spaces or full stops) followed by surname. Authors separated by a comma. Use superscript numbers for institutions. Do not include authors’ title, degrees and awards.

Institution, city, country:

 

To follow on from authors, as per example.

Main text:

Insert 1 line space before this item

Upper and lower case, right and left justified.

Should include the following headings, in bold and separated by a line feed:

Purpose:  including the study hypothesis
Method:
   statement
Results: 
 including statistics
Conclusions:
 reached and their significance. It is not satisfactory to state "results will be discussed" or "data will be presented".

Figures and tables to fit, along with text, within unaltered frame borders (16 x 16 cm).
