Bad Start Gone Bad
Tim Johnson, MD, PhD; Thomas A. Oetting, MS, MD
This is a case where the resident started the capsulorrhexis from outside to inside rather than the traditional inside to outside. This creates a problem because of the discontinuities creating with the initial cut. The capsulorrhexis appeared to be intact until during hydrodissection when a tear was created at the initial starting point. This led to a difficult case with a lens being placed in the sulcus.
