The patient's surgically aphakic heterochromic OD is bluish while the normal OS is brown. A peripheral iridectomy was performed during the intracapsular extraction on the OD. Notice the distichiasis coincidentally apparent in the left lower lid margin.

Distichiasis - apparently unrelated to Fuchs' heterochromic cyclitis - is evident in the photograph in the left lower lid. The lashes of the upper lid appear trimmed.
