Category: Cornea
Diagnosis: Staphyloma: huge anterior scleral staphyloma

Image Comments:
Notice that the staphyloma does not involve the scarred cornea of the left eye. The huge staphyloma involves the anterior sclera. It is extremely difficult clinicallt to distinguish between a ciliary staphyloma and an intercalary staphyloma. Frequently, only pathologic study will lead to the absolutely correct diagnosis.
