This is a congenital variant in which there is partial fusion of the lid margins. Usually this fusion involves the temporal aspects of the lid - as in this patient. The fusion is seen much more readily in the monocular photo. Normally no treatment is required unless the patient insists on cosmetic surgery - by an oculoplastic surgeon.
