Category: Pathology
Diagnosis: luxated lens

Image Comments:
The eye appears to have had a simple round pupil cataract extraction - the pupil is aphakic. However, when the patient looked down, the intact lens was seen resting on the floor of the vitreous chamber. There was no evidence of couching. The patient denied trauma to the eye - the commonest cause of luxation.
