Diagnosis: skin manifestation of Groenblad-Strandberg syndrome

Image Comments:
The patient was a white 50 year-old male with the classic features of Groenblad-Strandberg syndrome, i.e. angioid streaks of the retina OU and skin changes consistent with pseudoxanthoma elasticum. This photo is of the neck. It demonstrates the characteristics that have led to the term "elephant skin". An earlier Atlas photo was of the axillary region.
