This child is an ideal candidate for corneal transplant surgery on both eyes. Unfortunately, human transplant material is not readily forthcoming in India. The day of successful corneal surgery with artificial material will open an era of endless corneal surgery in India for the countless blind who merely need a clear central corneal area.
